SunGard Availability Services, a provider of recovery and business continuity services, has launched its Recovery-as-a-Service (RaaS) in India.
This builds upon the company’s launch in India in 2011, since when it has been serving its global customers’ India operations. The company is also targeting the medium and large enterprises with its SLA-driven recovery timeframes for their mission critical IT operations, on an affordable pay-as-you-go service model.
Globally, SunGard serves half of Fortune 500 companies and over two thirds of Fortune 100 companies.
Keith Tilley, EVP, EMEA & APAC, SunGard, said, “We look forward to working with both existing and new clients in India to help them realize the uptime, productivity and efficiency benefits other customers are seeing from Recovery-as-a-Service, and our other offerings, as we introduce them to the market in the next 12 months.”
Bala Vasireddi, SVP & GM, India Operations, SunGard, said, “Having made significant investments in India over the past three years, SunGard now has the people, infrastructure and expertise in place. With newly launched RaaS strategy the client’s business downtime can be brought to near-zero, which otherwise can have serious implications on their balance sheet, customer trust and key stakeholder relationships.”
