TAIT successfully conducted the TAIT Transformation Event. The Transformation is a new resolve, a new commitment from TAIT. Members, vendors, distributors and the media came in such large numbers to witness this event. A new TAIT AV was released. The AV highlighted TAIT’s achievements and stressed on Teamwork and presented glimpses of TAIT’s past events.
Thereafter a new TAIT logo was unveiled. TAIT President Rushabh Shah explained the rationale of the new logo. The inaugural issue of TAIT buzz, the TAIT newsletter was launched. This is the April-June 2013 issue and will be released every quarter.
Rushabh further explained that this is a publication whose idea was long overdue. This unique publication is in 3 formats – Printed, E-Newsletter and on the web, thus ensuring maximum penetration. This will be circulated amongst our members, System integrators and solution providers, other associations across the country, media houses, government departments, CIOs/CTOs, etc.
ImageParag Shah, Vice President, TAIT added that this newsletter will be an updation of events conducted by TAIT, various issues resolved by TAIT and highlight path breaking achievements by members. This will also provide a platform to our members to showcase their products and services and thereby address new markets. TAIT’s role as a catalyst to address member’s grievances and to aid business growth will also be featured.
Kripashankar Chaube, Secretary, TAIT said that the technology section will cover upcoming technologies and user productivity tips and techniques. There will be articles covering technologies like Networking, Virtualisation, Cloud Computing, Surveillance, Computing Trends, Case studies, etc. We will also invite Industry leaders and guests for their articles.
Pravin Dhoka, Director TAIT and Media spokesperson added that special features will cover various other topics, starting this issue with Women Power, wherein we will highlight the contribution of our member’s spouses to the business. Many more special features like CSR, best business practices, etc are planned. We will keep on innovating as per needs of our readers.
TAIT launched its CSR initiative, Education First where they distributed initial copies of the Long books. About 5000 copies of the same will be distributed to the needy students said Rahul Zaveri, TAIT Director. This phase of the project was sponsored by AMD, Neoteric, Creative Peripherals, Rashi Peripherals and a well wisher.
The icing on the cake was the announcement of ComIT 2013 where TAITRA, the Taiwan Govt body has confirmed a pavilion measuring 144 sq. mtrs. Champak Gurjar, Chairman ComIT, briefed the members about the next edition of ComIT to be launched on 14-17 November 2013.
There was a talk on Transformation by the TAIT President. TAIT has transformed: New office at Lamington Road, New logo and stationary, new member certificate and membership guidelines and code of conduct, new group emailing policies, new impetus to ComIT, much more impactful member events and above all, TAIT’s resolve to work for its members and take things to a new level. The concept of Transformation was well received by everyone and there was great feedback from the guests from the Distributor and vendor community.
Directors Nikesh Sakaria and Prakash Shah felt that these new initiatives taken by TAIT will go a long way in getting the IT fraternity together and that premium SI partners were interested in becoming TAIT members.
Vikram Mehta, Director TAIT opined that shifting TAIT office to Lamington road will help in getting members needs addressed quickly and efficiently. Vickey Gandhi, Director TAIT felt that the association should plan Knowledge forums to take TAIT to the next level. The meet ended with a lucky draw, gifts of which were sponsored by Belkin and Portronics and conducted by TAIT directors Ajay Parekh and Bimal Jhaveri.
