Rating validates the company’s legacy in manufacturing excellence
Tata Power Solar, India’s largest integrated solar company, has been rated ‘Tier I module manufacturer’ by Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF). The global tiering system evaluates various PV manufacturing companies globally, every quarter, based on different aspects and their bankability, to identify the top tier companies in the market across the world.
BNEF, through its robust process of assessment, rates a company as tier 1 on its ability to execute different projects with high efficiency levels and also winning the trust of different banks through its excellence in the past two years, globally. Tata Power Solar has been classified as tier 1 by BNEF and is a testimony to the company’s continuing excellence in the solar manufacturing industry for more than 27 years. The company, a pioneer in the Indian solar manufacturing space, has become a benchmark for quality and reliability of solar solutions.
Speaking about the rating, Mr. Ashish Khanna, ED & CEO, Tata Power Solar said, “Our focus on producing high quality modules has carved a niche for ourselves and made us one of the most bankable panel manufacturers in the country and globally. Being rated as a Tier 1 manufacturer is commensurate recognition of our efforts, as multiple banks and investors have great comfort in working with a Tata group company. This rating differentiates globally the companies investing in quality and excellence, in an industry flooded with low cost, low quality products.”
Tata Power Solar has shipped over 840 MW of modules globally, reaching out to more than 30 countries across the world. Their modules come with the approval of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). Its ISO 9001-14001 certified manufacturing facilities have been rated as excellent by several third party companies.
