Tech Mahindra will cover the cost of COVID vaccination for all its employees across the globe. It has asked its employees to register themselves on the government Cowin Arogya Setu Application and follow the required instructions for vaccination.
Currently, the tech giant from India has a presence in 90 countries and a human resource of 121,900 employees.
Earlier companies like Accenture, Capgemini, Reliance Industries, TVS Motors, and Infosys have promised to bear the cost of the vaccination of their employees and their family members.
The step came in light with the view of providing a safe working environment for its associates. Harshvendra Soin Global Chief People Officer and Head – Marketing expressed his happiness on the announcement. He added that the company believes in ‘Wellness before Business’ and the step comes as part of the commitment towards the associate well-being program. And the belief echoes in the step where the Pune based Tech Company will reimburse the vaccine cost for all the associates globally
It will not only provide the employees a COVID-free work environment but also ensure that the customers have safe and secure opportunities to grow their businesses.
What is Mhealthy?
Mhealthy is a comprehensive COVID-19 risk screening test-launched by Tech Mahindra for its employees. The data-driven technology is based on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and it connects the health providers with the employees. It checks on the presence of antibodies and other significant health stats for COVID-19 co-morbidities. It is based on real-time reports ensuing that every individual walking in the Tech Mahindra office has a safe and healthy workplace.
