A recent sneak peak has shown that Telegram is planning to add Group Video Call feature. Earlier they released an update in which they let you schedule a voice chat.
After, all that happened with WhatsApp after their privacy policy matters, telegram is the competitor to look around and they have been planning to roll out updates to attract more users.
The announcement was made by the founder and CEO, Pavel Durov himself on his Telegram channel. Durov also shared a short video showcasing the feature along with tweaks about the upcoming feature.
They plan to add this feature in the month of May. The feature will support screen sharing, noise cancellation, support for tablets and desktops too. Moreover the feature will work in both the orientations, and will securely encrypted with Telegram level UI.
The UI shows a list of participants in the meeting, who is speaking and who is listening, there is mute button to voice, and there is a video button for turning camera on and off, and a leave button.
