Agreement with ARM enables Telit to offer performance-optimizing tools to its already robust set of developer resources.
Telit Wireless Solutions, a global enabler of the Internet of Things (IoT), today announced the availability of the ARM® Compiler as an optional addition to the Telit AppZone, the integrated development environment for its popular GE910, HE910, UE910, UE866 and UL865 cellular modules.
By agreement with ARM, Telit can now offer the ARM Compiler as an option
for optimal performance and size management. For professional grade, real-time functionality, the optional ARM Compiler enables you to take full advantage of the module’s embedded processing capabilities.
The ARM Compiler is the only build toolchain specifically designed to optimize software running on ARM processors. It is the result of 20 years of development alongside the ARM architecture, enabling developers to profit from the extended ARM instruction set. The ARM Compiler toolchain incorporates a highly optimizing C/C++ compiler, assembler, linker and libraries for embedded software development.
Telit AppZone is an integrated Application Development Environment which provides a full suite of development tools including everything you need in order to start develop immediately.
“Telit is a recognized leader in the machine-to-machine and Internet of Things spaces, and their customers are building excellent, cutting-edge applications,” said Javier Orensanz, director of marketing, development solutions group, ARM. “The addition of the ARM Compiler as a developer resource will enable AppZone developers to maximize the performance of their ARM-based devices while maintaining a minimum of code footprint.”
“Telit is committed to delivering both simplicity and speed to market to all our customers,” said Felix Marchal, Chief Product Officer for Telit Wireless Solutions. “Whether they are developing in C/C++, Linux, Java or Python – those looking to get the most out of the module’s embedded ARM processor will appreciate the option to develop and test with the ARM Compiler.”
