Intex has announced yet another budget smartphone dubbed as Aqua Style Pro for INR 6,990 in an event today. This is company’s second smartphone in the Aqua Style series, which boasts decent specs and build quality at a budget price. This new Intex smartphone was launched in the presence of company’s new brand ambassador, Anushka Shetty, a popular Tollywood actress known for her style and elegance. Intex also touted its quality products and plans to strengthen its Mobile brand in South India.

The Intex Aqua Style Pro specs sheet includes a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels resolution) IPS display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-core Broadcom processor. The device will be running Android 4.4.2 Kitkat out of the box, which has almost stock Android experience. On the storage front, the device packs a 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD slot.

In the camera department, the device sports an 8MP rear-camera with dual LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. For connectivity, it offers various set of options like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. It has Dual SIM connection where one slot supports WCDMA 3G network while the second slot can work only for GSM networks. All of this is powered by an 1800 mAh battery, which might give you a decent amount of talktime and standby time on a full charge. The device also comes pre-loaded with games and useful apps like Real Football 2014, FOTA, OLX, Intex Care and Opera Mini browser.

Intex Aqua Style Pro Launched today On the comparison note, the Aqua Style Pro comes with slight improvements in terms of RAM, Memory, Camera, and Display size while there is no way to establish performance difference between Aqua Style’s 1.3 GHz Mediatek chipset and the Pro’s 1.2 GHz Broadcom chipset. In the Indian smartphone market, there are lots of budget phones that can be found around the sub-INR 6K price, but this new smartphone by the North Indian company is all set to create at least a little buzz with its Aqua Style Pro handset.

Moreover, this move from Intex also strengthens the smartphone majors to come out with better specs as despite Motorola’s effort of introducing the best budget smartphone for first time buyers, the Moto E does lack on the front-facing camera and has no AF feature for its rear cam.
