An event under the aegis of “India Growth Drivers” initiated by PayU India
‘Startup Master Class’, a high impact workshop led by seasoned professionals was held in Coimbatore on the 27th of June 2015. The inspiring event was held at SIEMA Building, Race Course Road, Near Thomas Park, Coimbatore by PayUMoney, an online payment solution by PayU India.
This event was the second edition hosted under the aegis of ‘India Growth Drivers” that holds high value events for small businesses across India. India Growth Drivers also has online presence, a platform where Startups and small businesses can engage, network and grow faster.
Vikrant Khorana, VP & Business Head, PayU India, commented, “The first event of the series held in Hyderabad was a great success. Although this event was already scheduled during the first edition, the enthusiasm shown by the participants has inspired us to further the initiative in Coimbatore. This is an effort to create an ecosystem of startups to help each other grow and we intend to continue with it.”
The Startup Master Class was a high impact workshop led by speakers from companies like Unitus Seed Fund, 50K Ventures and 50K Network. Partners like Kovai Techstart – a group of inspired entrepreneurs from Coimbatore and PSG STEP – Coimbatore’s largest and oldest Startup Incubator, supported by DST (Deptt. of Science and Technology, GOI) shared some case studies and practical examples to show how small businesses around the world have grown with minimal cost to the company.
Additionally, the event also witnessed more than 105 registrations from over 85 startups. The Master Class also had angel investors who shared the metrics they look for before investing into startups.
The challenges being faced by the Indian Startups today laid the foundation of this idea. A lot of startups in India are great companies in the making; however they do not have enough funds to market themselves. With this event, all startups and participants can share their experiences and growth philosophies to create value, which would further motivate them to make possible what previously seemed unheard of.
