Thermaltake Launches CTE E660 MX Mid Tower Case Designed for Hidden-Connector Motherboards

Thermaltake, a prominent PC DIY brand known for premium hardware solutions, has launched the CTE E660 MX Mid Tower Chassis. This dual-chamber mid-tower is designed to support ASUS and MSI Hidden-Connector motherboards, offering excellent compatibility for various setups. The CTE E660 MX features an interchangeable dual front panel design, a three-way GPU installation option, and outstanding cooling support, making it an ideal choice for creating a versatile and high-performance PC. It is available in four colors: Black, Snow, Racing Green, and Hydrangea Blue, allowing users to choose according to their aesthetic preferences.

Built for next-generation technology, the CTE E660 MX supports both standard and the latest hidden-connector motherboards (including ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO BTF, ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-BTF WIFI, and MSI Z790 PROJECT ZERO). The hidden-connector design facilitates improved cable management by allowing messy cables to be routed to the rear, thus enhancing the overall look of the build.

In terms of design and practicality, the chassis includes a 4mm tempered glass panel on the left side, providing a clear view of the internal components. Users can opt for two interchangeable front panels: a tempered glass panel for visibility or a perforated panel for better airflow, giving flexibility to customize setups based on aesthetic or performance needs.

The CTE E660 MX also offers a three-way GPU installation option, allowing for various configurations:

  1. Floating GPU: Center the GPU in the chassis using the included floating GPU bracket and a pre-configured 400mm PCI-e 4.0 riser cable.
  2. Up Right: Install the GPU vertically.
  3. Right Forward: Position the GPU upright, facing the side panel using rotational PCI-e slots.

Cooling capabilities are impressive, accommodating up to a 420mm AIO radiator at the front, rear, and motherboard side. Users can install up to fourteen 120mm fans or twelve 140mm fans within the chassis, ensuring robust cooling for high-performance components. The case supports E-ATX (12”x10.5”) motherboards, power supplies up to 220mm long, and storage options for up to two 2.5” SSDs or three 3.5” HDDs, providing versatile configurations for demanding builds.

For those looking for maximum installation flexibility, the CTE E660 MX stands out with its support for hidden-connector motherboards, dual front panel design, and various GPU installation methods, making it easy to build a PC that meets both aesthetic and performance requirements.

Key Features of the CTE E660 MX Mid Tower Chassis:

  • Compatibility with Hidden-Connector Motherboards: Specifically designed for next-gen hidden-connector motherboards from ASUS and MSI.
  • Dual Interchangeable Front Panels: Features a pre-installed tempered glass panel, plus an additional perforated panel for better airflow, allowing users to showcase their build.
  • Three-Way GPU Installation: Offers three mounting options for GPUs, enhancing customization and setup options.
