TLabs, India’s leading tech startup Accelerator, announced its 8thBatch which kicked-off in August with investments in 8 startups. This takes its portfolio size to 50 companies since its inception four years ago. Since its last batch, TLabs invested INR 30 Lacs under its accelerator model and upwards for some startups under seed or pre-series A rounds. Abhishek Gupta, head Tlabs added that, “Most of the companies that make it through our initial screening process have good traction to support their applications. Due to this, we are also receiving some very high potential startups for a seed stage round”.
The application process for this batch saw a great response, with more than 700 applications being received. “Selecting this batch of startups was probably the toughest so far for our team. A major reason for this is possibly the spike in the quality of talent which is taking the entrepreneurial plunge. We now see a lot of professionals giving up their corporate jobs to startup and applying to us”, says Abhishek.
TLabs will be opening the applications for its next batch on 30th October 2015.
