Samsung Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+ get launched This week Samsung finally took wraps off its flagship devices S9 and S9+. Unveiled at a pre-MWC 2018 event, the smartphones are set to launch in India on March 6. Samsung Galaxy S9 features a 5.8-inch Quad HD + Curved Super AMOLED display, while the Galaxy S9+ has a 6.2-inch Quad HD + Curved Super AMOLED screen onboard. Both smartphones come with a 12MP Super Speed Dual Pixel camera and an 8MP selfie camera. Galaxy S9+ comes with an additional 12MP rear telephoto camera lens. Both the smartphones run Android 8.0 Oreo (Knox 3.1) and are powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. However, Galaxy S9 sports a 4GB RAM, while the Galaxy S9+ boasts of 6GB RAM. In terms of battery, Galaxy S9 packs 3000mAh battery while S9+ houses a 3500mAh battery.
HMD Global launched 5 new Nokia smartphones at MWC 2018 Finnish smartphone manufacturer HMD Global has launched Nokia 8110 4G, Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 1, Nokia 7 Plus and New Nokia 6 this week. Nokia 8 Sirocco is company’s this year’s flagship and is being termed as the company’s most powerful Android smartphone till date. Speaking of Nokia 8110 4G, as the name suggests, it is the 4G avatar of Nokia classic phone Nokia 8110. Sony revived its Xperia smartphone line-up with Xperia XZ2 and the Xperia XZ2 Compact this week. The block-shaped design has been replaced with a slightly curved-shaped one. Running Android 8.0 Oreo, the Sony Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact differ from each other in terms of battery and screen size. The Sony Xperia XZ2 has a 5.7-inch full HD+ Triluminos HDR display and is backed by a 3180mAh battery. As for the Xperia XZ2 Compact, the smartphone has a 5-inch full HD+ Triluminos HDR display and is backed by a 2870mAh battery. Both run the latest chipset in the market, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor clubbed with 4GB RAM. Both the smartphones have a 19MP Motion Eye rear camera along with a 5MP front-facing camera.
Asus Zenfone 5, Zenfone 5Z and Zenfone 5Z Lite launched at MWC 2018
Asus unveiled its Zenfone 5, 5Z and 5 Lite smartphones at MWC 2018. Asus Zenfone 5Z of a 6.2-inch full HD+ IPS and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. The phone comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB inbuilt storage. The smartphone is based on Android 8.0 Oreo skinned with ZenUI 5.0. The smartphone sports a dual rear camera setup and its front camera supports Face Unlock feature. Speaking of Asus Zenfone 5, it is a clone of the iPhone X in terms of the design, and has nearly the same set of specifications as the Zenfone 5Z except for the processor, RAM and the storage. As for the least powerful Zenfone 5 Lite, the smartphone has a slightly smaller 6-inch Full HD+ IPS display with lesser screen-to-body ratio
E-KYC verification deadline for Paytm, Amazon Pay, and other e-wallets
February 28 was the last date to complete e-KYC for various e-wallets including Paytm, JioMoney, Vodafone mPesa, Amazon Pay and others. All e-wallet companies are accepting Aadhaar card as one of the documents for verification. But other than that, e-KYC can also be done with documents like Passport, Driving License, Pan Card, Election ID card. Users can still complete their KYC. In case they dont, they will not lose their money, but they will not be able to use all the features of the wallet they are using.
