Truecaller launches two new features with the upcoming Android release 8.45
Aiming to become the complete ‘communication platform’, Truecaller is all set to launch two new features – Number scanner and Fast Track numbers – with the upcoming Android 8.45 release. The app whose main work is to identify unknown numbers will be stepping foot in the e-wallet arena. Number Scanner will allow users to use the Truecaller app to scan numbers directly from cards, packages, billboards etc, to quickly lookup a number or store it on your device. Users can also use the ‘Scan and Pay’ feature to make quick bill payments using Truecaller instead of scanning the QR codes. All you have to do is scan the number to make a direct payment. Users can also send or request money, recharge, or even flash message any contact from your native phone book. Fast Track numbers will allow users to use all the emergency contacts like police, fire, medical care, women’s helpline, roadside assistance, as well as essential categories like banks, couriers, airlines, railways, and insurance, all integrated directly into the app without the need for internet connection. Truecaller recently launched its UPI-based payment system in India. Powered by ICICI Bank, Truecaller Pay allows Android users to transfer money to which the company has now added a new feature to it called Request Money.
