TUV Rheinland NIFE Academy sets up new ‘practical facility’ for vocational training at Kochi
TUV Rheinland NIFE Academy, the fully owned subsidiary of TUV Rheinland India, a prominent service provider that inspects technical equipment, products and services, oversees projects, and helps to shape processes and information security for companies, has announced the setting up of its new ‘practical facility’ for its vocational training courses at Kochi, India. Established in a one acre land this will be the largest ‘practical facility’ for vocational training in India with state of the art equipment, simulators in Fire and safety, Lift Technology and Fiber optics supported by well experienced and qualified faculties.
The facility can cater to 300 students at a time with most modern in-house hostel facility and food court for the students who attend the practical sessions. For the entertainment of the students indoor and outdoor games are set up within the premises. TUV Rheinland NIFE students from all over India would complete their courses with a two week practical training program at this new facility.
“The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has been set up by the Government of India to foster the cause of Skill Development in India. We have obtained approval from NSDC for our highly popular vocational courses – Fire Safety, Lift Technology and Fiber Optics.” said Ajay Menon, Director, TUV Rheinland NIFE Academy.” TUV Rheinland NIFE is an absolute pioneer in these areas, having carved the niche in vocational training and also having placed thousands of students both in India and abroad. “The Fire Protection system, Fire alarm system, first aid firefighting demonstration, Lift shaft installation, Fiber optics Laboratory with live fault finding techniques etc. are the main high lights of this new practical facility. The students have to undergo a number of practices and practical training individually and as a team to make sure that they acquire maximum knowledge in the subjects learned”added Ajay Menon.
