Twitter is now testing out a new feature that let’s you play YouTube video through the the posted link in the tweet itself. Before whenever someone posted a tweet mentioning a YouTube video link, you would have to click on that and then it redirected to the specified location or the YouTube application.
But now you won’t have to leave the app to watch a YouTube video, which makes it more easier for the users when scrolling. They are testing out this feature firstly in the iOS apps.
Here is a tweet by Twitter showing the feature.
Starting today on iOS, we’re testing a way to watch YouTube videos directly in your Home timeline, without leaving the conversation on Twitter. pic.twitter.com/V4qzMJMEBs

This will be a “four-week experiment” for now, later enabling for the other users. Twitter is also working on improving sharing and viewing the media, also testing out uploading a 4K on mobile.
