VAIO Corporation has launched VAIO Phone (VA-10J), the company’s first smartphone in partnership with Japan communication, as expected. It has glass back and shares similar design and specifications as the Panasonic Eluga U2 that was unveiled last month in Taiwan. It has single micro SIM support and 4G connectivity.
The VAIO Phone (VA-10J) is priced at 51,000 yen (US$ 421 / Rs. 26,326) without contract and is available from Japanese carrier b-mobile from March 20th. It will also be available with 2-year contract from the carrier. This is costly compared to the Panasonic Eluga U2 which costs NT$ 7990 (US$ 254 / Rs. 15,700 approx.), even though both these have similar design and specifications.
VAIO Phone (VA-10J) specifications includes 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS OGS display, 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor with Adreno 306 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, expandable memory with microSD ,13MP rear camera with LED Flash, 1080p video recording etc.
