Videocon on Thursday launched a slightly more powerful version of its Infinium Z51 Nova smartphone that was launched earlier this month. Called the Infinium Z51 Nova+, it is priced at Rs. 5,799.

The Android 4.4.2 KitKat-based Videocon Infinium Z51 Nova+ comes with dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) support. It features a 5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) IPS display, like its predecessor. The smartphone is also powered by the same 1.2GHz quad-core processor alongside 1GB of RAM, and includes 8GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).

The difference lies in the smartphone’s camera section. The Infinium Z51 Nova+ features an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, while also housing a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The Infinium Z51 Nova on the other hand sports a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The Videocon Infinium Z51 Nova+’s rear camera features Panorama mode, HDR mode, face beauty, self-timer, voice capture, smile shot, and BSI.

Connectivity options on the smartphone include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, and 3G. It packs a 2000mAh battery, measures 133.5x65x8.5mm, and weighs 131 grams. The Infinium Z51 Nova+ includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.

The handset comes preloaded with V-Safe app, which is designed for emergency purposes to contact family and friends, and also comes with a 90-day free subscription to the V-Secure antivirus app.
