Vimeo has unveiled a set of AI-powered tools designed to simplify the video editing process for creators who may lack the necessary skills, time, or resources.
The platform introduces three new tools: a text-based video editor, a script generator, and an on-screen teleprompter.
The text-based video editor allows users to easily edit their videos by removing long pauses and filler words with a single click, as well as search for specific terms in the transcript and delete unwanted parts.
For creating short clips for social media, users can highlight a specific word and select “keep only this” to generate the desired clip.
The script generator creates a complete script based on the user’s text prompt, desired video length, and chosen tone, leveraging OpenAI’s GPT technology. The on-screen teleprompter helps creators stay on script while maintaining eye contact with the camera.
Vimeo aims to enhance the video creation process for users, particularly those without prior production experience. These AI tools are available to subscribers of Vimeo’s Standard and Pro subscriptions, with a seven-day free trial period and a monthly cost of $20 for continued use.
