Vivaldi New Version Released With Major Changes

Vivaldi developers were pleased to announce the availability of its new version. Built by Opera co-founders, Vivaldi might soon be competing popular browsers like Google Chrome and Firefox. Based on Chromium, the browser promises superior experience to its users.

“Bugfixing and polishing is still our major focus at the moment. Typed history gets a revamp, and its behaviour more closely matches its name, web panels can now be assigned individual shortcuts, and we have plenty of small visual improvements,” the official blog says.

The latest version is now available for download with new features and bug fixes. If we talk about the changes and improvements, various issues have been resolved and features have been added including the addition of shortcuts to open web panels.

The find shortcut default has been changed on Linux. FFMpeg which was previously linking static is now dynamic. There have been changes in the creation of new tab and speed of the autocompletion. However, the major improvement happens to be its Chromium base which has been upgraded to version 45.0.2454.99.

Although the new version of Vivaldi can be downloaded from the official site, it is not suitable for production use as it is a maintenance version. It might include some unresolved issues which can affect the overall user experience.
