Vivo To Open Manufacturing Plant In Noida In 3-4 Month
Vivo which had announced its plan to manufacture in the country is all set to inaugurate its Greater Noida facility by the end of this month. The company has announced that its manufacturing facility will be operational by the end of this month and will have a capacity to manufacture one million handsets per month.
What is good news for the Indian market is that the company will be employing 2,200 people in this plant where 200 jobs will be managerial and the remaining 2,000 to be used in the production line. The Chinese phone maker has been quite bullish about the Indian market and they want to roll out “Make in India” phones at the earliest. The company has already invested Rs 125 crore to make this assembling unit in Greater Noida ready and there will be a second phase of investment which will be on the research and development front.
Vivo is presently selling one lakh phones per month in the country and this number is expected to grow substantially once the company starts rolling out phones from its Greater Noida plant.
