Vodafone has anounced the appointment of Amit Pradhan as the chief technology security officer (CTSO.) According to the reports, there is no word from the company on Pradhan’s appointment. However, the LinkedIn account of Pradhan confirmed his joining.
On the LinkedIn profile, Pradhan has updated its current profile as ‘Chief Technology Security Officer (CTSO) | CISO at Vodafone India’, and this surely confirms his appointment in the company.
If reports are to be believed, the post of CTSO was available at the company. The former CTSO in Vodafone Burgess Cooper left the company after a long period of nine years. Cooper is currently working with Ernst & Young.
Pradhan brings along a vast experience in Information Security domain. He mostly indulged into security operations, consulting, IT advisory and technology audits. Prior to Vodafone, Pradhan worked with Cipla for almost three years as group chief information security officer (CISO.)
In the past, Pradhan has worked with KPMG, Wipro Consulting and The Royal Bank of Scotland. His major expertise falls under security functions like ISMS, SOC, cyber threat response, incident response, forensics and cusiness continuity framework.
Vodafone India has emerged as the second largest mobile network operator in India by its subscriber base. Over a period of time, the company has gained growth and demand due to its best services offered to the customers. It offers both prepaid and postpaid GSM cellular phone coverage throughout India with better presence in the cities.
