WatchGuard Technologies successfully conducted two days hands-on technical training on 21st & 22nd Feb. ’13 for its channel partners in Mumbai. The training was done by WatchGuard expert trainer, Carlo Alvarez, who has been specifically called for this purpose. Followed to this, WatchGuard has organized similar trainings for two more cities – Chennai & Delhi on 25th & 26th Feb. and 28th Feb. & 1st March 2013, respectively.
WatchGuard unveiled many new products and added exciting features to it’s already most comprehensive range of solutions, such as XTM 25 & 26, XTM 3 series, an ideal solution for small businesses with next generation enterprise grade security but without the hefty price tag, and then made a ground-breaking change for the Unified Threat Management (UTM) market with the release of New XTM 5 series that sports the fastest throughput in its price class without compromising security efficacy, manageability and ease of use, making it the best choice for mid size businesses. It is truly a no-compromise, ultimate firewall that is optimized for today’s threat landscape. For small and midsized businesses, the cloud is real, and WatchGuard is ready to protect it with the launch of its entire line of content and network security products as virtualized solutions – XTMv & XCSv.
“WatchGuard is a 100-percent channel sales company. Our partners are our core, customer-facing sales team. The security threat landscape is changing fast and blended threats need blended solutions. At WatchGuard, it is our continuous endeavour to provide our partners solutions that can meet the ever-evolving challenges of network security threats effectively and it is equally important to train them on these solutions. We conduct hands-on trainings, webinars, knowledge sharing sessions on regular intervals and this 3-city hands-on training is part of this initiative. We are sure that our partners will be greatly benefitted from this and would be able to fully leverage the Best-in-Class, defense-in-depth XTM solutions and the latest features added, such as ‘RapidDeploy – remote configuration’, ‘Policy Grouping’, ‘Link Aggregation’, etc. said Mohit Puri, Country Manager, WatchGuard India & SAARC.
The new enhanced throughputs and many new features like ‘Policy Grouping’, ‘Link Aggregation’ etc. added more value. ‘RapidDeploy’ capability created industry’s first self-configuring UTM security appliance resulting in significant reduction in total cost of ownership.
