Wipro Ltd, a leading global information technology, 
consulting and business process services company today announced that it has been awarded ‘The ICSI National Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance’ for 2015 by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
Wipro has been conferred with this award for its capabilities, growth, performance, governance ethos, approach towards CSR and sustainable development, and future strategy. Wipro had earlier won this award in 2004.
The jury for the awards was headed by former Chief Justice of India Justice M N Venkatachaliah. The awardee is selected post a rigorous and comprehensive process that evaluates several parameters including Board Structure and Process, Transparency and Disclosure Compliances, Stakeholder Value Enhancement, CSR and Sustainability.

This award was instituted by ICSI in 2001 to identify, foster and reward companies with the best governance practises.
