Cabling Specialist R&M Modernizes Web Presence
A new source of information is now available for network planners, installers, and Data Centers. The Swiss cabling 
specialist R&M has updated it website with state-of-the-art technology, tailoring it to the specific requirements of IT experts. Anyone who is planning a local data network for a company or Data Center, multimedia-ready cabling for offices or homes, or a modern fiber optic network, can visit www.rdm.com, where they will now find much more than a platform for R&M image or product advertising.
The global company, based in Wetzikon, offers its customers and partners specific suggestions for solutions alongside sound specialist knowledge, such as information on the planning and cabling of WLAN antennas in the office sector, or on installing modern home networks in older buildings. Planners and operators of Data Centers can find tips for migrating their networks to 40 and 100 Gigabit Ethernet. Subject-specific pages offer specialist knowledge on application areas such as Data Centers, offices, residential and non-residential buildings, hospitals, and factories.
Visitors are taken directly to the relevant language and country pages. One key component of the new website is a multifunctional catalog, which enables network components to be individually compiled in watchlists and download baskets. Each visitor can create and print out a personalized PDF catalog. Additional interactive functions are planned and will be implemented over the next few months.
R&M designed the new website together with the leading German agency Infolox. The chosen software partners were eZ Publish (content management) and viaMedici (PIM).
