Xiaomi is organizing its media event in Delhi on 12 March, today. The company started sending out invites soon after its puzzle contest/teaser. The puzzle contest has words like ‘Snapragon’, ‘QuickCharge’ and ‘Expandable’. These features indirectly points out Redmi 2, because Mi Note does not support expandable storage.
The invitation of the event mentioned, “Taking it to the next level.” Hugo Barra, vice president, Xiaomi, and Manu Jain, head of India operations, will be launching the new product.According to the reports, the company is eyeing 2015 launch of Redmi 2, considering the recent launch of the new Moto E. Also, the company has discontinued the Redmi 1s, leaves no product under Rs 8,000 in India.
In conditions of specifications, Redmi 2 has a screen of 11.94-cm (4.7-inch) HD IPS display with a visuals of 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. It has 312 ppi pixels density. It has powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, which has clocked at 1.2 GHz. It has 1 GB of Random Access Memory and 8 GB of Read Only Memory (supports microSD card as well). It captures with 8 MP on rear and 2 MP on front part.
The 20.07-cm (7.9-inch) MiPad is powered by an Nvidia Tegra K1 SoC with its four ARM Cortex A-15 cores clocked at 2.2GHz, a companion core for non-intensive operation or idling, and a 192-core Kepler GPU. It sports a Sharp display with an eye-popping resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, and a pixel density of 324 ppi. The specs sheet also includes 2GB of RAM, 16 or 64GB onboard storage, microSD card slot for up to 128GB, 8-megapixel rear snapper and a 5-megapixel front camera.
