It looks like, to take on the new Apple Smart Watch, the Chinese mobile startup Xiaomi is planning to come up with its very own smart watch.
According to GSMArena, a report from Chinese Technology News Website 36Krypton, Xiaomi is already on the works on its first smartwatch which is expected to sport a round dial. The smartwatch may, as per the report, feature a brushed metal design. It is also said that the smartwatch by Xiaomi will be offering pulse wave velocity identification through which it can measure arterial stiffness or the rate at which pressure waves move down the vessel. No wonder why Xiaomi is being called by many as ‘China’s Apple’ keeping in mind the company’s tendency to take on the Apple’s product. Besides this, it has also been noted that the company is working on a facelift of its Mi Band fitness tracker.
However, there seems to be no more details about the price of the smartwatch and about it’s availability. Yet, since it is a Xiaomi product, we can easily expect it to have an affordable price-tag.
