Xiaomi Resume Sales Of Mi 3 In India For At Least One More Time This Diwali!
ITVoice News: After the launch of Xiaomi Redmi 1S budget smartphone, the company discontinued sales of Xiaomi Mi 3. While addressing the conference in Banglore on Friday, Manu Jain from Xiaomi India stated that the company would resume sales of Mi 3 in India for at least one more time. He suggested that the flash sale of Mi 3 will take place around Diwali.
In the prior batches of Xiaomi Mi 3 flash sale, around 20,000 units went up for sale each time. However, the company didn’t specify about number of units they would bring to India around this festive season. During the same event, Xiaomi Vice President Hugo Barra even mentioned about the new system of sales that the company will adopt this time, to allow all those people who missed the smartphone before, to have it this time.
He stated that the company will introduce, ‘Xiaomi Priority Pass’, which will be given only to those buyers who have been repeatedly trying to buy the smartphone before, but somehow couldn’t manage to have one. The buyers will get the privilege of special priority sale, which will automatically place the smartphone in their shopping cart. All they’ll have to do is to just complete the billing process. The number of handsets kept aside for the priority pass holders is not yet known. Barra even stated about hiring Indian engineers in future, who’ll work on the UI for proper localization of the product.
