Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air upgraded with Intel Kaby Lake processors
Following Apple, Xiaomi has also refreshed its last year’s Mi Notebook Air laptop series with Intel’s latest seventh-gen Kaby Lake processors. The 4G LTE capable Mi Notebook Air sports 13.3-inch display and runs Windows 10 out-of -the-box. While this version has the Core i7 CPU, while other variant comes with Core i5 processor. The refreshed Mi Note Air further comes with a fingerprint sensor placed on the top corner of the trackpad for added security and payment authentication. Rest of the specifications stay the same as last year’s model. The smartphone is powered by an Nvidia GeForce GT 940MX GPU with 8GB of DDR4 RAM. The laptop is backed by a 40Wh battery that, at the time of launch, was claimed to deliver up to 9.5h battery life. The 12.5-inch model has 170-degree wide viewing angle screen and has 4GB RAM, along with 128GB SATA SSD with SD card expansion. The Windows 10 laptop also has a 1MP HD webcam, along with usual set of ports like USB 3.0, USB Type-C and 3.5mm headphone jack. Its audio is powered by Realtek ALC233 and AKG speakers, with a 37 Wh battery rounding off the spec sheet. The new 13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air is priced at CNY 4,999 for the base model which having 128 GB storage. The 256 GB storage version is priced at CNY 5,499 and will be available from mi.com website. The new Core i7 model’s price has not been mentioned yet.
