Xiaomi has announced sales of 16GB and 64GB versions of its Mi 4 smartphone on February 24. The registration for the devices, which will sold on Flipkart, had already started last Tuesday.
While the Xiaomi Mi 4 16 GB goes on sale at 3 PM, the 64 GB variant is available from 5 PM.
The 16GB variant costs Rs 19,999 and it had already undergone sale twice. But the 64GB version will go on sale for the first time for Indian customers at the price of Rs 23,999. On 17 February, the second round of Xiaomi Mi 4 sale was held on Flipkart. But there was no report from Xiaomi on how many units of the smartphone was sold during the second phase. But it was confirmed the entire stock was sold off within 15 seconds.
The 12.7-cm (5-inch) phone is made available on flash sale every Tuesday through the authorised online partner Flipkart. But the price tag of Mi 4 is not impressive enough. If the 64GB 4G variant were available at Rs 19,999, then it would be a better deal. Xiaomi Mi 4 will face competition from OnePlus which has launched its 16GB variant at Rs 18,999 on Amazon.
Mi 4 is also facing challenge from Samsung Galaxy S4 after its price was slashed to Rs 17,999 on Amazon.in. On the specifications front, Xiaomi Mi 4 is powered by a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor and it’s packed with 3GB of RAM and 3080 mAh battery. Mi 4 also includes a 13MP rear camera (4K video recording) and a 8MP front-facing camera too.
