Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi launched its first metal smartphone with a fingerprint sensor in India. The company is betting a lot on this device and touting it to be the best in this price segment. We spent some time with the device and here are its first impressions. Design The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 impresses with its metallic unibody design, which gives a premium look and feel to the device. The smartphone has round edges and smooth metal finishing at the back. The volume rockers and power buttons are located on the right side of the device, and the SIM slot is placed on the left side. The front panel consists of three soft keys and a 5MP selfie camera. There is also an LED indicator for notifications. The rear panel of the device houses a 16MP camera with dual LED flash and a circular fingerprint sensor. All -in-all it’s a good designing attempt by Xiaomi. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 features a 5.5-inch full HD display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution. The display offers wide viewing angles and the colour reproduction is also sharp. The screen of the handset also consists of a reading mode, which reduces eye-strain in low-light conditions. The display is big enough for viewing movies and playing games.
