Xiaomi recently introduced Redmi Note 2 in its home country. The firm managed to sell a whopping 800,000 units of its Redmi Note 2 in just 12 hours through its first flash sale. While Xiaomi is overwhelmed with the response, fans expected the firm to repeat the success at its next flash sale which is scheduled on August 24.
If we talk about the specifications, Redmi Note 2 sports a 13.97cm (5.5-inch) HD display with a resolution of 1080 pixels. Powered by a 64-bit class 2.0Ghz MediaTek (MT6795) Helio X10 Octa-core (Cortex A53) CPU, the phone comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM with no microSD card slot. Backed by a 3060mAH battery, the device claims to come with Quick Charge 2.0 technology.
The phone runs on the latest Android Lollipop operating system. It has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a Phase Detection Autofocus besides a 5MP front-facing camera with 5-element lens, f/2.2 aperture to capture beautiful selfies.
With the connectivity of 4G-LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, the dual SIM smartphone is expected to come in pink, brown, white, black and light blue variants.
Although Xiaomi has revealed no plans to launch the device in India, the device is expected to be unveiled during the Mi UI 7 launch event which is to be held in New Delhi.
Meanwhile, India celebrated Independence Day with Xiaomi’s first made in India smartphone, Redmi 2 Prime. The handset was recently launched with much hype in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Manu Jain, CEO Xiaomi India and Hugo Barra, vice president, Global Xiaomi.
