Xiaomi To Take On Samsung With The Mi Edge Cuved Display

With an aim to take on Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+, Chinese phone manufacturer Xiaomi might launch xiaomi-mi-4i-a handset with curved edge-to-edge display. Though, the firm has not made the official announcement of any such device, the details have been leaked by a Chinese website called Mobile Dad. If reports are to be believed, the smartphone dubbed as Mi Edge would be unveiled in the next month.

According to the leaked reports, the upcoming Mi Edge is likely to sport a 13.20cm (5.2-inch) QHD display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. Powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, the phone is expected to come with 3GB or 4GB of RAM. Priced at ₹ 26,000, the phone might come with a fingerprint scanner and a robust 16MP rear camera.

Xiaomi had recently introduced its first India-made handsets in Visakhapatnam. Dubbed as Redmi 2 Prime, the much-hyped handset sporting an 11.93cm (4.7-inch) HD display, was unveiled by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in the presence of Manu Jain, CEO Xiaomi India and Hugo Barra, vice president, Global Xiaomi.
