Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi plans to showcase its concept smartphone Mi Mix at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, scheduled to be held from January 5 to 8th.
In a post on Chinese microblogging website Weibo, the company has teased what appears to be the White variant of the Mi Mix smartphone. The teaser image consists of the word White which has been superimposed in the string of letters which read WBHLIATCEK.
The White variant of the smartphone was recently spotted on a Chinese store.
For those unaware, the Xiaomi Mi Mix was launched in China in October 2016. The phablet boasts of a 91.3% screen-to-body ratio, similar to the one we recently saw in Sharp Acquos smartphone series.
As for the specifications, the dual-SIM supporting Xiaomi Mi Mix sports a 6.4-inch 2040×1080 display and runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. It is backed by a 4400mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0. The optics front is taken care by 16MP rear camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP front-facing camera. The camera can record videos in 4K resolution as well. The front-facing camera is placed at the lower corner on the front panel.
The fingerprint sensor has been placed at the back panel below the camera and LED flash setup. According to Xiaomi, the smartphone features piezoelectric ceramic earpiece speaker and behind-display ultrasonic sensor.
Featuring a full-ceramic body, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Mix smartphone measures 158.8×81.9×7.9mm and weighs 209 gram. The smartphone also sports USB Type-C port.
Xiaomi Mix comes in two variants based on RAM and inbuilt storage combinations. While the 4GB RAM+128GB storage variant costs CNY 3499, the 6GB RAM+ 256GB handset is priced at CNY 3,999. The 6GB RAM variant comes with 18K gold-plated camera and fingerprint sensor ring.
Xiaomi is still to launch its smartphones in the US market.
