After introducing Era, Xolo has Introduced the much-anticipated Black series of smartphones. Named Black, the new smartphone sports a 14cm (5.5 inch) IPS display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Powered by the second-gen 64-bit Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) System-on-Chip, the phone offers 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD.
The budget phone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and features a dual rear camera setup, with a 13MP camera and a 2MP camera. Its connectivity options include 4G, FDD-LTE Band 3, TDD-LTE Band 40 (2300MHz); Micro-USB v2.0 with USB OTG functionality; A-GPS; Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
Backed by a 3200mAh battery, the device comes with oleophobic coating and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Priced at Rs. 12,999, the mid-budget device will go on sale on Flipkart on July 13. Black happens to be Xolo’s first smartphone in its online only sub-brand. The device is all set compete to against Xiaomi Mi 4i, which was introduced a few months ago.
