Less than a week after Sony’s Xperia Z1 or Honami was launched at the IFA Berlin 2013, images of the Xperia Z1 mini have appeared on the internet. According to recent reports, the image that has appeared online shows the back of the phone, which is kept alongside the Xperia Z1.
Speculations about this being the Xperia Z1 mini are rife, since Sony has no other phone in the market, which resembles the one seen in the picture. Hence, the smaller phone in the image has to be the Xperia Z1 mini.
Having said that, the image could very well be a photoshopped version, since there are visible discrepancies in the image that has been ‘leaked’. The shadows on the visible side of the phone are uneven, which often happen when an image has been photoshopped, but nothing can be said for sure right now.
The Xperia Z1 mini is expected to have a 10.9-cm (4.3-inch) 720 pixel HD display. It is to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor along with 2 GB of RAM. It is also rumoured to have a 20.7 mega pixel rear camera. The company though, has given no intimation on the launch date or the pricing of the smartphone.
