YouTube is enhancing its dedicated music platform, YouTube Music, with new features, including AI-generated custom playlist art and a “speed dial” section on the Home page. The AI-generated playlist art feature allows users to select photos, styles, and themes to create unique cover art for their playlists. Once they save the choices, the app provides multiple art options from which users can choose, or they can tap “Randomize” to explore more ideas. While similar to the Pixel 8’s AI wallpaper feature, this tool does not allow users to upload their photos; instead, it provides predefined, random options for cover art.
Additionally, YouTube Music is launching a new Home page feature, a “speed dial” section at the top of the Home tab, listing the most frequently listened-to music content by users, making it easier to return to favorite music. The platform is continually working on new features and announced that more than 2 billion people visit YouTube each month to listen to music.
This update is part of YouTube’s effort to make its music platform more feature-rich and user-friendly. The company is also looking to expand this new feature to other regions and languages soon.
