MUMBAI: The Harsha Goenka-promoted Zensar Technologies has won a deal worth nearly Rs 270 crore with Assurant Health, a US-based health insurance firm.
This is one of the largest deal wins for the Pune-based mid-sized software services provider. As part of the deal, Zensar will provide development, testing, maintenance, enhancement and IT support services for a suite of business applications used by Assurant Health for policy administration, underwriting and claims processing. Shares of Zensar ended flat on the BSE at Rs 239.60 on Tuesday.
The contract is for a five-year period . “Zensar will assist Assurant in implementing the infrastructure necessary to comply with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act,” said Chris Dowler, Chief Information Officer, Assurant Health.
Part of the reforms enacted by US president Obama, its goal is to bring more Americans under healthcare cover.
