The Grand X Max phablet has a successor now, called Grand X Max+. It has been launched by ZTE and Cricket Wireless at CES 2015. The new ZTE smartphone will be exclusively available, both online and offline, via Cricket Wireless stores from 9 January at the price of $199 or Rs 12,600 approximately.
ZTE Grand X Max+ is a single-SIM device which runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and it has a large HD display, of 15.24-cm (6-inch). There are not many differences from its predecessor though as it also has a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor. But the RAM is bigger in the new phone as it’s 2GB. Its inbuilt storage is also 16GB which can be expanded to 32GB via a microSD card.
The camera features have seen lots of upgrade in the new phone as its rear camera is 13MP with LED flash and its front-facing camera is 5MP. ZTE Grand X Max+ has the following connectivity options: 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS/ A-GPS.
It packs a 3200mAh battery and it has some unique technology in use like Dolby Audio and Qualcomm Quick Charge 1.0, which ensures quite fast charging. The company has also announced that they have plans to release more reasonably priced phones which will support 4G LTE connectivity.
