The Chinese tech company ZTE has so far been quite about its upcoming launches at the CES 2017. But it looks like there will be at least one smartphone from the manufacturer at the tradeshow. The device dubbed as ZTE V8 was briefly listed on the company’s website along with key specifications.
As per the listing, the ZTE Blade V8 will have a dual rear camera setup. There is a 13MP rear camera with ‘soft flash light’ and a 2MP secondary camera for better depth information.
The two cameras will let users add ‘DSLR-like bokeh effects’ to the images. They will also let users shoot stereoscopic 3D photos, which can then be viewed using the VR glasses. Another camera feature mentioned is the high-speed motion with multi-exposure images.
The metal-clad Blade V8 will sport a matte finish with ‘diamond-cut edges’. The front panel will be covered with 2.5D glass and the device will be 7.7mm thick.
The front panel will also include a 360-degree fingerprint sensor embedded on the home button. The sensor is said to unlock the device in 0.3 seconds.
The smartphone will come with a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution display and will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, clubbed with 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage. It will run MiFavor 4.0 UI based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
ZTE last month launched its Axon 7 Premium smartphone with 6GB RAM, Snapdragon 820 SoC in China. The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 1440×2560 pixel resolution. It offers 128GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB by installing a microSD card. There’s a 20MP rear camera with dual-LED flash along with an 8MP front camera for selfies. It houses a 3,250 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge support.
