3i Infotech Limited , a global Information Technology company, committed to accelerating business transformation, has announced the appointment of two new members to its board of directors, with immediate effect to include Mr. Sriram V and Dr. Aruna Sharma, a career bureaucrat and former Secretary Information Technology, as Additional Directors (Non-Executive). With the new board members taking on the advisory role, this move will further expedite the growth journey of the company.
A people-centric person, Mr. Sriram V joins as a Non-Executive Director at 3i Infotech with a vision of overseeing the people, processes and technology aspects of the company. In his role, he would provide strategic advisory and counsel to 3i Infotech’s management team that will help guide the company as it charters through the next phase of growth. With nearly 4 decades of rich, multi-faceted experience covering most IT/ITES domains such as customer support, business development, server/PC and printer manufacturing, S/W operations, IT Infrastructure management and BPO/shared services delivery, he has worked with companies including Hewlett-Packard (HP), DXC Technologies, CGI, CMC Ltd., PCL and Trigyn Technologies. He has held various leadership positions in HP for over 20 years.
As the Additional Director, Dr. Aruna Sharma will be a Non-Executive board member at 3i Infotech, who opines that the BFSI and public sector companies are increasingly becoming more open to digital adoption and digital transformation. She served in Indian Administrative Service, as Secretary Information Technology and later Secretary Steel in government of India. She was also the Director General at Doordarshan. She has recently authored a book – ‘Dancing Towards the $5 Trillion Economy on Holistic Beat’. At present, she is also the independent director with SRO of MFIN, Welspun Infra, Arjas Steel Pvt Limited and IQuippino. She is a research fellow at the University of Bath in UK and working on accelerating the success and sustainability of SDGs by resorting to common household data base. She is an alumna of Harvard Kennedy School.

This announcement comes at the back of the company’s recent senior level appointments that include Sax Krishna as Chief Growth Officer, Sudeep Nadkarni as Chief Revenue Officer- Strategic Business and Sushant Purushan as EVP & India Business Head, Cloud First & Digital, IMS leadership team. The company also recently made the announcement of hiring 500 people for its new BPO division in Hyderabad, to boost its India operations.
