Just a day after an video of the next Apple iPhone’s alleged cover case popped-up, we now have three images said to be showcasing a phone dummy for case designers.
The images, sourced by nowwhereelse, a French website, showcase an alleged black-coloured dummy of the iPhone 6 handset. The model seems slimmer than the current iPhone 5s smartphone, along with a larger screen of almost 4.7-inch size.
The alleged dummy model of the iPhone 6 goes in line with the previous mock-up designs we have seen for the handset. Noticeably, the volume buttons are now elongated instead of circular, along with thinner side bezels than the existing iPhone 5s. Unfortunately, no other information can be derived from the images.
Additionally, a video posted on Tuesday showed a purported iPhone 6 case compared to the current generation Apple iPod touch.
Notably, the video shows the alleged iPhone 6 4.7-inch model’s case with similarities to the iPod touch in thickness and volume control button placement. For those unaware, the current generation iPod touch sports a 6.1mm thickness and the video purportedly shows how the alleged iPhone 6 case ‘exactly’ fits the iPod touch.
A recent report even claimed that the ‘super thin’ 5.5-inch iPhone 6 was reportedly delayed due to supply constraints. The report claimed that the iPhone 6 would pack battery cells that are 2mm in thickness, instead of the normal thick battery components.
Reports have for a while been indicating that Apple might finally enter the screen size battle with the launch of the iPhone 6, and its rumoured two display size variants – 5.5-inch and 4.7-inch.
