Apple iPhone 15 series may launch in third week of September

Apple is reportedly gearing up to introduce its highly anticipated iPhone 15 series in September, with sources suggesting a significant smartphone reveal on September 13. Anticipated enhancements encompass a fresh design, improved performance, and upgraded optical zoom capabilities. However, there’s speculation that the new models might carry higher price tags compared to the current generation.

The iPhone 15 series unveiling date seems to be set for the third week of September, as per the latest rumors. A report from 9to5Mac indicates that employees have been advised not to take leaves around that time, hinting at the upcoming launch. Tech industry insiders have indicated that mobile carriers are urging their staff to abstain from taking days off on September 13, strongly suggesting a major smartphone announcement. Although the precise brand involved remains undisclosed, Apple has traditionally introduced its latest iPhones in September.

Historically, Apple’s iPhone announcements have usually taken place on Tuesdays, but last year’s event broke the trend by occurring on September 7, a Wednesday. This year, September 13 also falls on a Wednesday, leading to speculation that it could be the chosen date for Apple’s special event.

If these rumors hold true, pre-orders for the iPhone 15 series might commence on Friday, September 15, followed by an official release on September 22. Last year, pre-orders for the iPhone 14 kicked off on September 9, and the phones hit stores on September 16, though there were exceptions like the delayed release of the iPhone 14 Plus on October 7 due to supply constraints.

Expected to bring exciting advancements, the iPhone 15 series is rumored to sport a fresh design featuring slightly curved edges and slimmer bezels around the display. All four new models may include Dynamic Island and USB-C ports in place of the traditional Lightning connector. For the Pro models, a shift from conventional stainless steel to a new titanium frame is speculated, contributing to a sleeker aesthetic.
