ITVoice News: After surprising everyone with the early arrival news of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus, Apple seems like to give a little longer wait to the Apple lovers in India by delaying its launch date in the country
Though during the launch, Apple didn’t make any official statement about the availability of its new products in India, but shortly after the event it mentioned 26 September as the release date for the two new phones on its website. Perhaps few hours later, they changed the date to 17 October. A day later, it even removed the second suggested date, leaving the expectations of Indian customers shattered.
The expected reason behind delaying the launch date could be the supply delays. They will never want the new phone to go out of stock soon after the launch. In US, Canada, Australia, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, France, UK, Puerto Rico and Singapore markets, preoders for the phone would begin on 12 September.
Apple claimed iPhone 6 to be more energy efficient with its new A8 processor. It will allow the users to 50% more energy backup as compared to the older ones. It is capable of sustaining performance- intensive task like playing a game at higher frame rates.
Having known that, usually Apple makes the availability of its products around Diwali in India. If it goes on the same lines, the new iPhone could possibly be available around 23 October. Owing to the delay in release of certification from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Apple had listed on its China website the availability of its new products in as to be on 26 September. Apple considers China to be its key market and had released iPhone 5S and 5C in the first phase. There are possibilities that it might not launch the phone in India before making it available in China.
