In the midst of economic uncertainty and a wave of layoffs across the tech industry, opportunities in the field of AI remain promising. With the growing popularity of AI and the fear of lagging behind, major corporations are actively seeking AI talent. Apple, for instance, has recognized this trend and has recently announced the availability of 176 new positions specifically focused on machine learning and artificial intelligence.
According to Pocket-lint, the majority of these positions, 68 to be exact, will be allocated to the Siri department, while 52 will be dedicated to iOS and 46 to macOS. Additionally, there are several roles that will involve working with multiple products within Apple’s ecosystem.
Apple’s commitment to AI is no secret. During their recent earnings call, an Apple spokesperson emphasized the company’s cautious and thoughtful approach to AI. In fact, insiders reveal that Apple has implemented measures to restrict the use of AI chatbots in order to safeguard sensitive information from public exposure.
While Apple has already planned a special event focused on AR/VR for June 5, it wouldn’t be surprising if they also make announcements or provide insights into their AI initiatives. With the company actively recruiting AI talent and emphasizing its significance, Apple is positioning itself to remain at the forefront of technological advancements in the AI realm.
