Apple is actively investing millions of dollars each day in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), and it’s reportedly developing various AI models across multiple teams.
According to reports, Apple’s conversational AI team, known as “Foundational Models,” comprises approximately 16 members, including former Google engineers, and is headed by John Giannandrea, Apple’s AI chief.
This team is working on AI projects related to conversational AI, image generation, multimodal AI, chatbots for customer interactions and automation of tasks with Siri.
Apple’s advanced AI model, Ajax GPT, has been trained on over 200 billion parameters and is said to be more powerful than OpenAI’s GPT-3.5.
While Apple CEO Tim Cook expressed the company’s bullish outlook on AI, Apple has not officially confirmed these AI projects.
