Apple publishes “Study With Me” video featuring Storm Reid to support students

Apple has unveiled its inaugural “Study with Me” video, featuring Storm Reid, an Emmy-nominated actress and a junior student at the University of Southern California (USC), pursuing a degree in Dramatic Arts with a minor in African-American studies. This video aligns with the global trend where students employ “Study With Me” content to boost their concentration and productivity during study sessions.

In the video, Storm Reid employs the Pomodoro Technique while using the new 15-inch MacBook Air equipped with the M2 chip for her study sessions. The Pomodoro Technique is a study method characterized by 25-minute study intervals followed by 5-minute breaks. The video is complemented by a fresh Afrobeats track, “Fefe Ne Fefe,” by Mr Eazi.

Storm Reid shared her enthusiasm about collaborating with Apple to create this study tool and emphasized the significance of balancing work with music and movement. As a USC junior, she appreciates the importance of self-care and mental wellness, attributing her own success to the Pomodoro technique.

Apple has consistently positioned its iPad and MacBook as essential tools for students and educational purposes. For instance, the MacBook Air provides seamless continuity features such as Handoff, AirDrop, Universal Clipboard, and Messages, which facilitate efficient work across both Mac and iPhone. Additionally, students can employ iPads for tasks like note-taking, sketching, recording, content creation, and streaming. When paired with an Apple Pencil or keyboard, these devices further enhance creativity and productivity.

Apple recognizes the financial constraints faced by students and offers special education pricing for both the MacBook and iPad, allowing students to purchase these devices at discounted rates, making quality education tools more accessible.
