Transerve is a fast-growing Location Intelligence company that uses Geospatial Technology to enable Digital Transformation & effective decision-making. It has been acknowledged as a top emerging and innovative company by NASSCOM and Deloitte (Top Fast 50 Tech company). Transerve has also been awarded by the Department of Science & Technology (Government of India). Recently, Team IT-Voice had a chance to interact with Ashwanii Rawat, Co-Founder & Director, Transerve Technologies. He answered questions related to the organization and the domain. Please check the full interview:
Prateek: What is the mission and vision behind Transerve?
Ashwanii Rawat: Geospatial technology as a niche industry often faces barriers to use location intelligence for users because of too little or no background. We provide a Do-It-Yourself location intelligence platform loaded with data for businesses to become more efficient and profitable by assisting them in decision making. The company is evolving very fast keeping pace with the advancement in technology and connectivity towards a universal platform for humans to assist in making the most efficient decisions through edge computing and using artificial intelligence. The vision of the company is to organize world information and tag it with location and provide an intuitive tool for day-to-day operations.
Prateek: How can businesses benefit from the customized solutions by mapping/location technology?
Ashwanii Rawat: Corporations can map and advertise to consumers accordingly. Retail outlets can check whether visits to the outlets are up or down and understand customers’ purchasing patterns.
In addition, companies can find the appropriate place to set up businesses, construct properties and optimize their sales network to meet suitable demographic requirements.
In every industry, there are many cases of local information and some are listed below to help companies do the following:
- Enhancing investment returns
- Sales growth
- Cost management
- Improved customer service
Industries | Challenge 1 | Challenge 2 | Challenge 3 |
FMCG | Consumer Behaviour: Launch or re-launch of products | Efficiency Enhancement: Resource & Route Optimization | Connected Assets: IoT & Asset Analysis |

Transerve Platform comes with prepackaged analytical tools which quickly suggest the correct
data to deal with a problem and reach results with a couple of clicks on the screen.
Together with the data partners, our list of prepackaged analytical tools increases every quarter, creating a holistic platform for analysis and visualization of all kinds. Pattern recognition and predictive analysis are just a few of the analytical capabilities that the platform provides and are used most frequently.
Prateek: What is the scope of Geographical Information Systems in India in terms of economy?
Ashwanii Rawat: Spatial analytics has applications in a variety of industries; we conducted market research and discovered that the location intelligence market in India is worth around INR 5,000 crores. It’s also important to know the distinction between location intelligence and geographic information systems, as they serve different markets.
A product must meet the following criteria to be considered for the Location Intelligence category:
- consume geospatial data in real-time,
- Users should be able to manipulate, model, and analyze geographical data.
- Provide the ability to create maps that provide insight into the data’s geospatial implications.
- Allow analysts to use pre-packaged analysis to extract relevant business insights from the data.
While location intelligence platforms are comparable to GIS software in terms of capability, they differ in that they can consume large datasets in real-time rather than presenting a historical view of geospatial data.
Data analysts, business analysts, and scientists, rather than surveyors and engineers, use the location intelligence platform.
Prateek: What technologies are used by Transerve?
Ashwanii Rawat: Transerve built the Transerve Online Stack (TOS) spatial analytics SaaS platform on an open stack from the ground up for users who have no formal training in geospatial technology, with the goal of allowing anyone to harness the power of spatial analytics and analyze their location data for their businesses without much training.
We’ve created a data marketplace that allows data suppliers to sell their data to our customer base. Our customers obtain data and insights tools on a single platform, saving them time and effort. Machine learning models and AI technologies have also been built for automated analysis and data suggestions based on the problems.
Prateek: What will be the policies of Transerve for expansion and growth?
Ashwanii Rawat: At the right moment, we happen to be in the right place. This year the government of India has relaxed the geo-spatial data policy, which is aggressive in bringing web-driven spatial technology into many industries like healthcare, education, logistics, manufacturing, and smart cities, and so forth.
Today 80% of the data produced worldwide has location as an attribute but only 10% of it is used for analytics. Transerve is helping companies to organize and analyze the spatial attributes of these unused data, thus helping them to perform pre-packed analysis. This makes our product extremely useful and we are able to achieve this by offering an intuitive UI/UX for decision-makers.
We have a strong ambition in the foreseeable future to make the local intelligence of the masses more democratic.
We are preparing to venture into new geographies which are growing fast like the Middle East, Europe, and the USA.
