ASUS recently concluded participation in Eastern India’s biggest tech fair – COMPASS Tech Fair 2013. COMPASS (Computer Association of Eastern India), is an association of IT entrepreneurs of Eastern India that works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the growth of IT industry. The Tech Fair took place between 20th December to 23rd December 2013 at Milan Mela, Kolkata and was inaugurated by Hon. Minister West Bengal IT and Industries Mr. Partha Chatterjee. With more than 350 members and partnering industry through advisory and consultative process, COMPASS has been a facilitator and catalyst working closely with government on policy issues, enhancing efficiency, competitiveness and expanding business opportunities through assorted services. The association is headquartered in Kolkata and has members spread all over eastern India.
Computer Association of Eastern India, popularly known as COMPASS was conceptualized in the year 1993 – an Assembly of about 12 I.T Dealers of Kolkata who felt the need of forming an association of I.T Dealers who can look after the interests that the IT industry demands. This tech fair is an excellent platform for all the manufacturers to display and generate awareness for their products which certainly build a better environment between the users and brands, thus resulting in a better brand connect.
COMPASS Tech fair was successful in engaging a huge crowd of more than 75,000 people which included Channel Partners, Corporates buyers, Students, Professionals and other end customers. COMPASS management team awarded ASUS stall with ‘The Best Pavilion Award’ amongst 15 other pavilions and 90 stalls that were a part of the IT exhibition. Customers were very impressed by the innovative products displayed by ASUS which included latest Republic of Gamers Motherboards Series, Graphic cards, compact Desktop Vivo PC, Networking and multimedia devices. The brand received excellent feedback on the product displayed and the overall management of the pavilion and gathered a number of on the spot bookings for its Motherboards, Graphics Cards, Vivo PC and Soundcards.
