Wednesday, June 25, 2014: Canadian handset maker BlackBerry has launched its Z3 smartphone in the Indian market at a price tag of Rs 15,990. The BlackBerry Z3 is now up for pre-order via Flipkart, The Mobile Store, and BlackBerry stores and will be officially up for grabs from 2 July.
The BlackBerry Z3 features a 12.7-cm (5-inch) qHD display with a 960×540 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 (MSM8230) processor coupled with 1.5GB of RAM. It sports a 5MP autofocus rear camera and a 1.1MP fixed-focus front-facing camera. It comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The device runs BlackBerry 10 OS (version 10.2.1) out-of-the-box. Connectivity options include: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, GPS, NFC and Micro-USB. It decks in a 2500mAh battery, which can deliver up to 15.5 hours talk time and up to 384 hours of standby time, claims BlackBerry.
Earlier, BlackBerry had introduced a new buyback scheme for its Z30 smartphone in India. The BlackBerry Z30 is now up for grabs at a best buy of as low as Rs 29,990 in exchange of an old working smartphone. The offer is valid only for the next 60 days. The BlackBerry Z30 smartphone features a 12.7-cm (5-inch) Super AMOLED full HD display. It is powered by a 1.7 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro MSM8960T mobile processor coupled with 2 GB RAM. It sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera. The device runs BlackBerry 10.2 OS out-of-the-box. It comes with 16GB of in-built storage (expandable). Connectivity options include: dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, Near Field Communication Chip and GPS. It decks in a 2880 mAh battery.
