Indian smartphone vendor Celkon has launched a new sub-Rs 10,000 smartphone under its Millennium series. The Millennium Ultra Q500 is priced at Rs. 9,999 and will be available exclusively on Snapdeal.
The Celkon Millennium Ultra Q500 runs Android 4.4 KitKat and will join the company’s other KitKat-based smartphones and as is the norm comes with dual SIM (GSM+GSM) slots. There’s a Moto G-like 5-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD IPS display, while the 2GB of RAM along with the 1.2GHz quad-core processor are great specs to have performance wise. It comes with 16GB of internal Flash storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). It sports an 8-megapixel primary rear camera with LED flash, while a 2-megapixel camera sits on the front.
The Ultra Q500 has 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options for connectivity, and it packs a very beefy 2500mAh battery, which is rated for up to 5 hours of talk time, and up to 200 hours of standby time. Recent Celkon smartphones have come pre-loaded with Gameloft titles such as Prince of Persia, The Avengers – The Mobile Game, Bubble Bash 3 and Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour, while there are preloaded classifieds and shopping apps, as well as the third-party Android app store Mobogenie.
