Home grown company Celkon has added a new budget device to its Millennium range of smartphones. The Celkon Millennium Vogue Q455 smartphone is now up for grabs at a price tag of Rs 7,999. The device was launched by tennis star Sania Mirza in the presence of other dignitaries.
The Celkon Millennium Vogue Q455 Smartphone features a 11.43-cm (4.5-inch) qHD IPS OGS display with a 540×960 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Broadcom BCM23550 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It sports an 8MP rear camera with flash and a 1.3MP front-facing camera. It comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage expandable up to 64GB via microSD card. The dual-SIM device runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. Connectivity options include: Bluetooth, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB and 3G. It decks in a 2,000mAh Li-Ion battery which can deliver up to 150 hours of standby time, and 8 hours of talk time, according to Celkon.
Meanwhile, the company is looking to release as many as seven devices in its Millennium range of smart phones in the coming dys. “We aim to sell 1 lakh handsets of this model in one month. Already, we have got 20,000 pre-bookings,” Celkon Chairman and Managing Director Y Guru was quoted as saying. “We are coming up with more products in the Millennium series and plan to launch at least 7 more phones in the next 15 days in the range of Rs 4,500 to Rs 12,000,” he added.
